Because we manufacture your dentures in our own on-site lab, we work faster and more precisely than practices that outsource. We use digital scans instead of the old-fashioned impression trays — no gagging, no discomfort. Most patients receive their new dentures within three appointments.
Snap-on dentures: the end of loose dentures
A snap-on denture (also called an overdenture or click denture) attaches to 2 or 4 dental implants in your jaw. It clicks firmly into place — no slipping while eating, speaking or laughing — and clicks out for easy cleaning.
- Lower jaw: from €2,497 on 2 implants
- Upper jaw: from €4,997 on 4 implants
Under Dutch basic insurance, implant-supported dentures for edentulous (toothless) jaws are largely reimbursed after approval from your insurer. We apply for this authorisation for you, free of charge.
Single dental implants
Replacing one missing tooth? A dental implant with crown costs from €1,450 all-in at AltaDent. The implant integrates with your jawbone in 3 to 6 months and, with good care, lasts a lifetime.
Same-day denture repairs
Broken denture? Thanks to our in-house lab we can often repair your denture the same day — also for visitors and internationals who are only in the region temporarily.

Made in our own laboratory
AltaDent has its own dental technicians on site, which is unusual for a dental practice. Your denture is not sent to an external lab and back — it is made, fitted and adjusted here. That is why a new denture can be ready in three appointments and why most repairs do not need to leave the building.
Costs and insurance
Dental tariffs in the Netherlands are set by the NZa, the Dutch Healthcare Authority. Dentures and implant-retained dentures are partly covered by the basic insurance, usually with a personal contribution; the exact split depends on your policy and on whether it concerns an upper or lower jaw. We are contracted with every Dutch health insurer, so we bill your insurer directly and check your cover before treatment starts. You always receive a written estimate first.

Usually three appointments, because the work is done in our own laboratory. We will give you a realistic timeline at your first visit.
Can you repair my denture the same day?
Often yes, since the lab is inside the practice. Call 0318 307 219 before you travel so we can tell you what is realistic that day.
Is everything explained in English?
Yes. Our team speaks English, Dutch, Spanish and Turkish, and treatment plans and estimates are explained in the language you prefer.
